Kirsten Haroldson, RN, IBCLC
I have been Registered Nurse with my BSN since 2005. I have been working on our postpartum floor at a large Level 1 hospital for 10 years. Last year, I received my IBCLC and worked in our breastfeeding center, helping families with breastfeeding both inpatient and outpatient.
As mentioned, I have been a postpartum nurse for 10 years and have dabbled in the lactation area for almost as long. I worked directly with breastfeeding families for 2 years, and have recently returned to working in our postpartum unit. I also have taught nursing students in our hospital on the postpartum floor for 5 years. I have personal breastfeeding and parenting experience as I nursed both my children for over 2 years .
I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Michigan University, graduating in 2005. I have been keeping up with the latest lactation research and education to utilize in my daily practice. I was recently recertified in CPR and Neonatal resuscitation.
