Breastfeeding matters, even though it’s not the only thing that matters

There has been a lot of discussion in the past few months about the article that linked breastfeeding to increased IQ and income later in life. Many of my friends have told me that they feel research such as this makes them feel guilty for having fed their babies formula. These authors acknowledge that feeling of guilt, and then go on to make the point that it’s still important to publish on the benefits of breastfeeding. “Things can matter, without being the only things that matter.”
