“I started MilkOnTap because I genuinely wanted to help. I already knew from my work that women often need support and advice with breastfeeding, but I just didn’t see anything available around the clock – after all, breastfeeding happens at any time of the day and night! My vision is to create a space that’s empowering, informative and completely non-judgmental and with the team of expert Lactation Consultants we have at MilkOnTap, I’m confident that we’ll build an amazing community. With the live video consults, we’re providing a service that too often people don’t associate with healthcare. Now moms can get the assistance and advice they need without leaving the convenience of their home or office. This truly is a service led by parents, for parents. One click at a time.” – SLYVIA ROMM, MD, MPH, CLC
MilkOnTap is a safe and caring place for parents to connect with each other and ask questions, mother – to – mother, about breastfeeding and parenting. We provide evidence – based informational articles(and links to further information) on breastfeeding and parenting topics. We post articles and current events relating to breastfeeding and parenting, and provide a platform where supporters of breastfeeding and gentle parenting come together to discuss these things.
Breastfeeding is the main focus of MilkOnTap, but not the only focus – many factors (birth, parenting practices, etc.) can affect the breastfeeding relationship.
The information and suggestions here are not a package deal – you don’ t need to use it all or agree with everything. Every family and every child is different, so take what you need from our community and leave behind what doesn’t fit your life. Our aim is to help provide the information you need to make your own decision about what is best for your child and your family.
